Terms of Service

By accessing or using StrangerMeet, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. You must be at least 18 years of age to use this service.

You must be 18 years of age or older to use StrangerMeet. By using the platform, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.

You agree not to:

• Share sexually explicit content involving minors (CSAM) — this is illegal and will be reported to authorities.
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users.
• Appear nude, partially nude, or perform any sexual act on camera in video chat, or show such content to another person. Video chat is not an adult service; doing this will get you reported and banned.
• Record, screenshot, stream or re-publish another person's video call, or any part of it, without their explicit permission.
• Show violence, self-harm, drug use or other illegal activity on camera.
• Spam, advertise, or send repeated identical messages.
• Use the platform to distribute malware, phishing links, or illegal content.
• Attempt to de-anonymize or identify other users.
• Use automated bots or scripts to interact with the platform.

StrangerMeet does not endorse any content shared by users. You are solely responsible for messages you send. We reserve the right to filter content in real time and block messages that violate these terms.

Video calls are not filtered, and cannot be. Text on this site passes through an automatic filter; live video does not — no automatic system watches a call. A video call is sent directly between the two browsers and is never recorded by us, which means moderation of video rests on you reporting what you see. Use the Report button on a call: reports feed the same ban system as the rest of the site. If you would rather not be shown a stranger's camera at all, use random chat, group chat or chat rooms, which are text, photos and voice only.

An account is optional — the service works fully without one. If you create an account you are responsible for keeping your password private and for everything done through it, and you must give an email address you actually control. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.

Friends and direct messages are extensions of the service, not a private space outside these terms: the prohibited conduct in Section 3 applies to a direct message exactly as it does to a public chat, and the same reporting and enforcement apply. Because a direct message only exists between two people who have each accepted the other, we do not apply the automatic word filtering there that we apply to random chat, group chat and chat rooms — you are responsible for what you send, and you can remove a friend at any time, which deletes the conversation. Direct messages are deleted automatically 24 hours after being sent, so you should not rely on the service to retain anything. We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms.

StrangerMeet is free to use. StrangerMeet Pro is an optional paid upgrade and nobody is required to buy it — random chat, group chat, chat rooms, accounts, friends and direct messages all work without paying. Buying Pro is entirely your own choice.

There is no automatic renewal and no recurring charge. A Pro subscription runs for the period it was bought for and then simply ends. We will not charge you again unless you choose to buy again, so there is nothing to cancel and no subscription to remember to stop. Your Pro features stay active until the expiry date shown in your account, and end on that date.

Purchases are final and are not refundable. Once a subscription is bought it cannot be taken back or returned for a refund; if you no longer want Pro, the way to stop is simply not to buy it again. This does not affect any right you have under the law of your own country that we are not permitted to exclude.

We may change the price of Pro at any time. A change only ever affects purchases made afterwards — it never alters a subscription you have already paid for. Free trials or complimentary Pro access granted by us are a gift rather than a purchase, and may be ended at any time. If your account is suspended or removed for breaking these terms, any remaining paid time is forfeited.

Pro can be paid for in cryptocurrency through our payment provider, NOWPayments, or by another method we agree with you directly (for example PayPal, Payoneer, Wise, Skrill or a bank transfer) after you ask for one at checkout; Pro bought that way is added to your account by us once we have received the payment. You need a StrangerMeet account to buy it, and it is added to that account automatically once the payment is confirmed on the blockchain, which can take a few minutes. You are responsible for sending the full amount on the network shown at checkout; a payment that arrives short, late or on the wrong network may not activate Pro automatically — contact us and we will look into it.

StrangerMeet is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee uptime, availability, or that the service will be free from bugs or errors.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StrangerMeet shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

StrangerMeet is a global service used from many countries, and these Terms are written to apply the same way to everyone, wherever you are. They are governed by the law applicable where the service is operated from, and by the mandatory law of the country you live in wherever that law applies to you.

Nothing in these Terms removes a right that your own country's law gives you and does not permit us to exclude. If any part of these Terms is unenforceable where you live, that part is treated as removed for you and the rest continues to apply.
